Thai food has a unique style and taste. That's no wonder why Thai food has becoming more popular in many countries. Today we will learn a vocabulary about Thai food as well as other food that you can have it in Thailand!

 อาหารไทย /ahan thai/ = THAI FOOD
ข้าว /khao/ = Rice
- ข้าวสวย /khao suai/ = Steamed rice
- ข้าวเหนียว /khao niao/ = Sticky rice
ส้มตำ /Som Tam/ = Green papaya salad
- ส้มตำไทย /Som Tam Thai/ = normal Som Tam
- ส้มตำปู /Som Tam Pu/ = Som Tam with horseshoe crab
- ส้มตำไข่เค็ม /Som Tam Khai Khem/ = Som Tam with sated hard-boiled duck eggs.
ต้มยำ /Tom Yam/ = Thai spicy and sour soup
- ต้มยำกุ้ง /Tom Yam Kung/ = Spicy shrimp soup
แกง /Kaeng/ = Thai curry
- แกงกะหรี่ /Kaeng Kari/ = Yellow curry
- แกงเขียวหวาน /Kaeng Khiao Wan/ = Green curry
- แกงส้ม /Kaeng Som/ = Thai sour curry
- แกงไตปลา /Kaeng Tai Pla/ = Southern Thai curry.

น้ำเปล่า /nam plao/ = water
น้ำแร่ /nam rae/ = mineral water
ชา /cha/ = tea
- ชาเขียว /cha khiao/ = green tea
- ชาดำ /cha dam/ = black tea
- ชาจีน /cha chin/ = Chinese tea
- ชาอังกฤษ /cha angkrit/ = English tea
กาแฟ /kafae/ = coffee
เบียร์ /bia/ = beer
บรั่นดี /barandi/ = brandy
แชมเปญ /chaempen/ = champagne
เหล้า /lao/ = liquor
ไวน์ /wai/ = wine
น้ำผลไม้ /nam phonlamai/ = juice

Thai Alphabet : The Secret of MAI HAN A-KAT.

You've learnt about " สระ อะ " in this lesson . Today I will teach you about... THE SECRET OF MAI HAN A-KAT !!!!!! What is it? You're going to know it now. If you want to make a word like "chan (I)", or "wan (day). You have to use the other kind of "สระ อะ (Sara a)". Let's see an example. กะ (This is " Ka ".)  กัก (This is " Kak ".) ตะ (This is " Ta ".)  ตัก (This is " Tak ".) Did you see anything? The name of "◌ั" is Mai han a-kat . It looks like a half "ะ". You have to write Mai han a-kat above the consonant. Thai system is not like English. In English when you want to add a final consonant, you can place it next to a vowel. But in Thai, you have to change the shape of the vowel. Because in Thai we don't have a space between word. So if we don't use "Mai han a-kat", it is so hard to read. For example..... "ตาตะกกะบข้าว
