Casual Thai

Today we will learn about CASUAL THAI! The real language that we communicate in Thailand and nobody teach you in the classroom. Forget the Textbook's Thai you've learnt. 555

Thai speaking and writing language are different. Nobody says 'คุณรับประทานอาหารแล้วหรือยัง /Khun rapprathan ahan laeo rue yang/ Have you eaten yet?' much in informal speech, instead we say 'กินข้าวยัง /Kin khao yang/'.

Warning : This is Casual Thai. You can use this with your friends or someone younger than you. DO NOT use it with someone older than you or someone you respect.

THE AMAZING 'อะ /a/'

Most Thai end some sentence with อะ.

ชื่อไรอะ
/Chue rai a/
What's your name?

ไปไหนอะ
/Pai nai a/
Where are you going?

สวยอะ
/Suai a/
Beautiful!

แพงอะ
/Paeng a/
Expensive!

THE AMAZING 'ปะ /pa/'

Most Thai use ปะ for asking.

กินปะ
/Kin pa/
Do you wanna eat it?
